Springtime is here at last, it is warm and all the snow is melting. Food is now plentiful and the trees are green once more, this is the prime breeding and birthing season, for new foals will have three whole seasons to strengthen before old man winter returns.
Year One.

Hello and welcome to Crimson Beats. Where horses are in either the Light, Neutral, or Dark alliances. I have just created the mare's claiming area and the breeding area, you are to birth in your own territory. After breeding in the breeding area, an admin (Natalia/Dimitrius) will give you your foal status in that thread.
Three thousand years ago, there were three young equines. One was Aphrodite, the beautiful Light Queen. One was Melancoli, the sombre Neutral czar. The proud Dark lord was Bastian. For a while, they co-existed harmoniously, and enjoyed the fruits that the great Goddess gave them. Still, they were not satisfied. They had all heard stories of a beautiful place called paradise, where only the Great Goddess could roam freely. It was a A land where everything was perfect. So they and their herd decided to roam far from home in search of this paradise. It took them a year and day to finally reach this haven, but reach it they did, ad they were happier than ever.
But the Great Goddess found out
Her anger was compatible to the thunder and lightning. She screamed for vengeance, and brought herself to earth In the form of a beautiful young mare. She told the three leaders that they and their herds would suffer for the injustice they had done to her. Bastian bared his teeth at the Goddess, Melancoli watched, horrified and Aphrodite gazed at the Deity with sad, sad eyes.
“The curse I shall put on you will affect generations to come- hate spawned from hate,” She snarled at all three equines. Her anger was like a neverending fire- tearing over the three Royals.
“Bastian. You snarled at me- even when you knew who I was. My heart screams for me to strike you dead where you stand,” She paused. “You will earn the hatred of everyone you meet. You and your herd shall become cold and sadistic, and will despise the light of day,” Aphrodite cried out in anguish, but the Goddess refused to relent. “Melancoli, you shall be forever torn between your brotherhood with Bastian and your love for Aphrodite, and she herself,” She turned to the trembling Aphrodite. “I loved you the most, child, and will thus only give you the scorn of the Darks,” She touched the Light Queen’s forehead, and there appeared a shining mark that all light royals would have forever more. The last blessing of the Great Goddess. And on the throne, as the lady of the lands, The Great Goddess became an equine and produced the absoloute royals.
Three thousand years later- the legends are still very much a reality. Alliances divide the nation of paradise- now called Crimson beats. These lands need a hero to unite them and bring them together. Will you be that hero?
About 100 years ago there where three different kind of animals Wolves, Horses and the Panthera. All living in one land, but one day the king of the Panthera family ordered all the cats to find a mate and breed with them. So they did, and in this time the Wolves and the Horses realized that the Panthera family were getting stronger, so the Wolves and Horses attacked the Panthera family family.
But during the battle the Wolves accidentally attacked the Horses best warrior so the Horses then attacked the Wolves as well as the Panthera family for revenge for their best warrior.
The Panthera family had won the battle since they were the biggest and strongest of the families. Now all three of the families never see each other and it is forbidden to even talk to one of the other families.
About 50 years later another species of animal wandered into the land, the hyenas. The Horse family claimed they were first here and didn't want the Hyenas here, but the Wolves welcomed them, so one day the Horse lead and the Wolf lead went to visit the Panthera lead and asked her 'Do you want the Hyenas to stay or not?'. The Panthera lead said she doesn't mind so the Wolves and the Horses had a fight, the Wolf lead managed to kill to Horse lead. The Panthera lead liked the horse lead and sent her warriors to fight, once again the Panthera family won.
Now the Horse and Panthera families are getting one well with each other, and the Wolf and Hyena families are getting on well with each other only.
They told you it didn’t exist, that a perfect society does not exist. Well it did years and years and years ago, Utopia was a beautiful land untouched by any life form, on four or two legs. Then one day the horses arrived, three leaders, three herds. The dark herd was led by Klamity, a horse as dark as his herd. He had the reputation of being the meanest, worst horse anyone had ever met, driven by nothing but his sheer quest for power. The neutral herd leader was Jolin, he was the level headed one, his main goal was for his quest for greatness. He was there to make a name for himself and his herd, he would not back down. The light herd leader, Anghel was everyone’s definition of a goodie goodie. His only drive was what was best for his herd and keeping the peace.
When the three leaders arrived with their herds in Utopia each claimed to have arrived first. War would have ensued if not for the ever good Anghel, he convinced Klamity and Jolin that there was enough for the three of them to share. Anghel also convinced them to have occasional meetings, where they would discuss problems and happenings in the three herds. Klamity and Jolin after some convincing agreed to the terms and the three herds went their own way.
The herds lived in harmony for some time, until one day Klamity’s son, Loche decided not to come to the meetings. When Anghel’s son Rama, and Jolin’s son Wakeme, showed up Wakeme was outraged, but Rama proceeded to calm him down suggesting that they send their two strongest warriors in to talk with Loche. They waited for a long time and the warriors did not return. Finally months later Loche returned to the meetings, Wakeme was about to attack him then and there for breaking such a sacred law, but Rama stopped him. To this day no one knows why Loche returned to the meetings, Wakeme suspected it was because he had something planned, but he could never prove it.
Now they are at the third generation and the herds have not strayed from their original agreement ever again. Klamity’s grandson, Colbalt is now the leader of the dark herd. He had built up a reputation of being even more evil than his grandfather was, if that be possible. Anghel’s didn't have a grandson, so his granddaughter Hurricane is now the leader of the good herd, she is just as much of a goodie goodie as her grandfather was, and there is no way of changing her. Jolin’s never had a grandson, all he had was a beautiful granddaughter named Eclipse. Eclipse was the one to take the throne after her father, Wakeme’s passing. Eclipse like her grandfather is out to make a name for herself, become a great leader, and prove herself to the world.

Stealing
:: To steal you must write a poem. If the poem is deemed impossible to solve then it will be void. If you do not read these rules, and for some reason announce the equine that you are attempting to steal.. That's your own fault!! We told you here, so don't go complaining to any staff members.
:: Make sure you make your stealing post with the CORRECT account. The correct account being the one belonging to the charrie that is attempting the steal.
:: Steal poems are written OOC, so at the beginning of your steal post you must include the name of your character that is attempting to steal, and the terra they belong to.
:: Poems MUST include the name of the mare/foal you wish to steal and the name of the stallion to whom they currently belong.
:: Number of guesses allowed to solve the poem goes on how many mares a stallion has. A 'guess' is the name of the mare they think is being stolen.
:: To make your guess please put 'Block' in the subject line and in the message type something along the lines of: 'Silver(name of stallion guessing) blocks Honey(name of mare he thinks he is being stolen).' If you have more than 1 guess allowed to you then you would put down Honey and --- etc.
:: In three days an admin will ask the writer of the poem to reveal. They MUST make a reply that shows how the poem includes the mares name and the name of her stallion. If the admin deems the poem has not been successfully blocked or has not been replied to by the stallion it was meant for then the mare/foal will be classed as stolen and must go with the writer of the poem.
Aging
:: Horses at the age of three(3) SHOULD age one year every real month. I won't enforce this rule but I don't wanna see horse stay the same age forever.
:: Foals can age as quick or as slow as you like, although I expect them to be played as a foal (under 1 year of age) at least once. Once they reach three(3) years old the rule above applies.
ROTALTY: New rule. Here is what the King and Queenship offers:
Light King: Moderator in ALL Light land boards and control over the light alliance Light Queen: Mod. in her own land. In control of all mares
Neutral King: Mod. in all Neutral boards. Control over Neutral alliance AND can choose which alliance to side with if there is a war Neutral Queen: Mod. in her terra board. Can choose her own path, which CAN be different than the King's.
Dark King: Ish Satan Dark Queen: Power over
Beta Positions
:: Beta mare is a position in every herd and is to be chosen by the lead stallion. Beta mares have more power than herd mares, but are still under the rule of the lead mare(if there is one). This position can also be used as a ranking ladder. If a herd mare is showing potential to be a lead then she can be promoted to Beta to see how she copes.
:: Beta stallion is an optional position. Lead stallions may choose to invite another stallion into their herd or they can simply not have the position available. Beta stallion is like a protector of the herd, and is to respect both the lead mare and stallion.
:: Both positions and those that assume them are controlled by the lead stallion. He can demote or promote whoever he pleases for whatever reason.

Stallions
:: Can force claim. To do so a stallion is allowed to state that he nips a mare anywhere on her body. He CANNOT say that he injured her or drew blood. Once the nip is done then she belongs to that stallion. If another stallion arrives before the nip then she may choose between them. If another arrives after the nip then it means nothing, cause she's already claimed.
:: Can claim land after the age of 3.
:: Can have as many mares as his heart desires.
:: May breed as often as he likes, after the age of 3.
:: May only steal mares. If a mare is stollen and has a foal then then foal MUST go with her.
:: May fight whenever and for whatever reason.
:: May force breed.
:: Lead stallions have the right to kick anyone out of their terra.
Fighting
:: No powerplaying or God-moding [results in automatic disqualification].
:: You can only challenge once a week.
:: Challenges are RP only. Each fighter gets three attack moves [one per post] and one dodge. Once all attack and dodge moves have been played then a staff member will decide the winner based on RPing skill, or if RP skill is even, then the roll of a dice.
:: You win automatically if the other player doesn't respond within three days of your post.
:: Fighting can be done one on one or with allies or herd members.
:: In fights, either may die as long both agree to it.

Mares
:: Can be force claimed.
:: Can choose which stallion to go with when approached in Claiming(providing they are not being force claimed). They may not remain unattached forever, eventually they will need to find a herd in order to survive.
:: Cannot claim terras.
:: May fight, for whatever reason.
:: Can be force bred. They then belong to the force breeding stallion.
:: All mares are under stallion's law. [stallion's are dominant]
:: Can breed when they are 3.
:: Please, don't be spitting out babies every week.
:: May only steal foals.
Breeding and Birthing
:: Force breeding is allowed on any in character board
:: Force breeding WILL result in a foal, and a post must be made in Breeding Fields that states a force breeding took place and between who.
:: You can breed any season, please keep it contained to the Breeding Fields (unless it is a force breeding). Foal's born in Winter run a high risk of being still born or born with an ailment.
:: Graphic breeding posts must be words only. No pictures.
:: Please wait at least 3 days after breeding to give birth... and vice versa.
:: To give birth please make a post on the Birthing Grounds board with the parents stats. Dam and Sire must post seperately. A staff member will then reply giving you the gender, colour and breed of the foal, as well as an ailment if this applies. They may also add an 'Other' section in which they may give a rough outline of the foal's character, path or a vague plot. The mare can either reply and give birth (if it's 3 days after the breeding), or she can give birth in her terra.
:: Multiple characters on an account is not allowed. Have your main character's name as your account name. Not something like, 'Midnight111'
:: Foals must be played on separate accounts
:: Swearing is allowed. But do NOT get carried away
:: No porn.
:: No fights in OOC. Get a staff member to sort it out
:: No power playing or god-moding
::Each post in character MUST be longer than 150 words. I will be counting and deleting those posts that do not adhere to this rule. [Word counter: http://dependency.faithweb.com/id68.htm - I suggest that you bookmark it so you can count all your posts yourselves.] Some members have been pushing at me to make this 200. I WILL SEE ABOUT THIS

To audition, you must post an RP of AT LEAST 500 words. Satan and I will judge on these categories:
Figurative speaking (Similies, Metaphors ect): 25 marks Spelling, grammar: 25 marks Creativity: 25 marks General suiting to your charachter and the role: 25 marks
